Focus Area 2
Infrastructure Projects
According to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), infrastructure development and service play a major part in economic growth and poverty reduction, as well as improving human security by providing food security, job security, health security, community security, personal security, and environmental security, particularly to the poor.
In many parts of the Asia Pacific region, poverty is at peak level where people do not even have wages to build their own house. Even if they do have some form of shelter, it is in such an impoverished state without proper living quarters, clean water and sanitation. RDC invests in projects to upgrade infrastructure that will help the people and communities, with the aim of promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, poverty reduction, and overall well-being.
