COVID-19: FOOD RELIEF PROGRAM

Latest Update

RDC has successfully sent out RM5000 as the first batch of relief fund in July.  This fund was managed by our collaborators, the committee of Masjid Darul Uloom, who has prepared and distributed food packages containing basic food needs and other necessity items to the needy families.

Kinniya is a town in the Trincomalee District of the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. This town has a population of around 90,000 people where Muslims make up 96% of the population. Majority of them are labourers earning daily wages.

Kinniya is the one of the most affected town by Covid-19 in Sri Lanka. The people need food due to continuous lockdown. Currently there are 515 families badly affected due to Covid-19 lockdown.

At the moment, RM50,000 emergency funds are needed to assist people in Kinniya facing the lockdown.

We invite brothers and sisters to assist this impoverished community through donations.

" Whosoever relieves from a believer some grief pertaining to this world, Allah will relieve from him some grief pertaining to the Hereafter. Whosoever alleviates the difficulties of a needy person who cannot pay his debt, Allah will alleviate his difficulties in both this world and the Hereafter. Whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. Allah will aid a servant (of His) so long as the servant aids his brother…"
